Heal- become whole again
The word Heal has Dutch origins which means to become whole. The sense of wholeness comes when body and mind are aligned, when they are in harmony. The fleeting emotions that our mind experiences might at times be difficult to express through words. However, the body can easily express the emotion through moving without even having to exactly know what it was. Bringing motion to emotion can help an individual become aware of their bodies, which is essential towards self awareness. Moving to push down to rise up, while discovering the centre is a definite step to become whole again.
Know thyself by knowing thy body
Our bodies get into different modes. At times the bodies might open up to challenges, free itself from shackles, unlock and let go off the unnecessary baggage, experience freedom releasing all stress. At other times the same bodies might close down, feel bound, get locked and trapped in stress and entangled with emotion. Even though our bodies express differently at different times they are just governed by play of multiple chemicals inside the body. And thus, they are not absolute, but just an expression of what is going inside the mind. The ability to identify how our body is at a given point in time and to choose what it can be to yield optimum ease and joy is awareness. Know thyself by knowing your body.
Mornings at lakes in Kolkata
Activities like walking, running, basic stretches are something we think are the main reasons so many hundreds arrive at the lakes. However, my regular visits at the lake opened up a plethora of activities. People go there to capture nature's beauty with their lenses, some go and play guitars and sing, while some just go and bond with their friends, some go to just sit by the lakes and breathe some fresh air, and there are people who just go to absorb the beauty of nature. After visiting the lakes for years to walk, I too wanted to add my bit. I wanted to bring in Movement based games to enhance mind body awareness and communication amongst the people who where there. So many of them stopped by to participate, and so many passed by with curiosity in their eyes. Whether they participated or just watched all left smiles.
